Lets start troubleshooting steps for an electrical awning that wont extend at all.
Power awning 9100 will not close all the way.
Noise is coming from awning motor area.
My dometic power rv awning will not fully close against the housing that is mounted to rv.
Robert rv mechanic replied 1 year ago it could be the plastic roller cap in the tube that holds the awning completely in and prevents it from coming out it could be stripped out.
If the awning motor doesn t receive power it will not be able to extend or retract your awning.

Another reason your awning in not retracting good could be the screws on the awning chord.
Best to have someone holding the awning out while you do this so it won t retract on you.

We replaced the fabric on our dometic 9100 series power awning.
It appears to be off center slightly.
Once you have the awning pulled down you just have to remove the bolt holding the motor into the arm assy and take the rivets out and it can be pulled out of the awning.

Here are the items to check for power problems.
It is a 9100 series.
The awning does not function properly now it will move in and out with the remote but operates very slowly and does not lock into the travel trailer the switch on the wall for operating the awning works sporadically most of the time this switch will extend the awning but not.
This chord should not move you need to keep it intact in its position.
You also need to check the awning chord that is placed along with the screws on the awning rail.
And how long has this been going on.
You put the new one in the same way.
