If it does not then the problem lies with the awning wiring.

Test the battery power when a battery operated retractable awning does not work.
Lower the tension arm latch and put the support arms and rafters into travel position.
Then if hit the extend button it will go back.
As you may already figure out there are a wide variety of causes that could lead to the issue of rv 12 volt system not working issue.
Low 12v power this could be caused by a bad battery or the 12v converter in your rv may have failed or be failing.
If it did show 12 v then that means the awning wiring is fine and the issue lies with the motor.
My awning is stuck in the out position.
When i hit the retract button it moves just a little bit.
Here is my problem.
Charge or replace the batteries as needed.
The easiest way to check your power is with the battery meter built in to your rv.
Take some time inspecting the awning for any signs of warping weather damage rusting tearing in the awning fabric itself or the motor overheating and working too hard.
If the remote control stops working with the awning it needs to be reset.
Mine also has a small 6 amp circuit breaker resettable in with the other 12 volt breakers.
There are several problems that can cause the awning not to work correctly.
I have the same awning and it will not deploy if the ignition switch is on or the engine is running.
Make sure that your ignition switch is off.

The first thing you need to do is identify what components operate on 120 volt power and what draws from the 12 volt dc system.
The awnings are operated with buttons on the motor control or by a remote control.
Check the power connections to see if there is a short in the wiring or the cord is not plugged in.
If the awning motor doesn t receive power it will not be able to extend or retract your awning.
In order to get the 12 volt system back online we have to decide exactly what prevent it from working properly.

Check the reading on voltmeter it should read around 12 4 volts.
The remote control works without problems under most conditions but on occasion it may lose its connection with the motor control unit.
I have cut all power to the rv hoping that it would reset but that did not work.
